The first generation of Coulsons, James Coulson and Bridget Breen came from Ireland around 1936 and settled in Barrie, Simcoe County.  They had three children, Carolyn, James and Mary-Anne.  Two of their children settled later in Mount Saint Louis and in Orillia.
